The professional trade show Maison & Objet (www.maison-objet.com), known as THE trend-setting fair in the fields of interior design, decoration and high-end lifestyle, receives more than 70,000
visitors from 150 different countries, 2500 exhibitors (60% international) and a lot of specialized
journalists from all over the world.
Its influence is unavoidable. Visitors are from many fields such as buyers, distributors, institutions, hotels, specifiers (architects, designers…).
MOM (Maison & Objet and More), the online version of the fair, is also very active: 480,000 qualified and certificated professional contacts, 3 million visits a year.
Maison & Objet also aims to expand its target to include creators and spec-in professionals.
Since 2013, taking M&O’s evolution and marketing target into consideration, the organizer considers
it important to demonstrate the theme of lighting design in this thematic exhibition called Light Trend. It’s located in “Projects” zone (prescription) in the Hall 7A’s “SIGNATURE” area, dedicated to iconic design, a mix of luxury, audacity and elegance.
The Eco System of “Projects” is for interior renovation, design and technologies. This hall targets space planners, clients, contractors, architects, institutions etc. who are interested in as much technical as decorative aspects.
Once again this year, Maison&Objet Paris will clearly be so much more than simply a trade fair: it will be a place that invite visitors to explore unique sensory experiences and tap into tomorrow’s trends.
As well as the IN event (at the Exhibition Centre). Maison&Objet Paris will also host OFF events (Paris Design Week) as well as ON events (online via the MOM digital platform and the Maison&Objet Academy). Proof itself that hybridisation is now a firm fixture within decoration, design and lifestyle community, too!
The lighting designers, Akari-Lisa Ishii and Motoko Ishii are invited by the organizer to present the latest trends in lighting design at the Maison & Objet trade fair every September.
This leading Japanese-French mother-daughter lighting designer duo has produced the official M&O LIGHT TREND exhibition for the past 11 years (2013 to 2024). The 2020 edition was canceled due to the Covid pandemic.
Thanks to mastered know-hows and constantly renewed creativity, the designers imagine a new original theme each year. For visitors, it is a luminous experiential journey, combining art, tips,
technics... to be rediscovered each year.
It is also an educational trip to learn and appreciate technologies such as new control systems, and lighting atmospheres.
In order to demonstrate light and objects, in a wide range of artistic expressions, they collaborate
with lighting manufacturers from Japan and Europe as partners to develop various materials
combined with light with cutting-edge creations.
They thus present “the musts” to know and apply as latest lighting trend to the visitors and journalists, including opinion-leaders from all over the world.
Thanks to the evolution of technology, lighting plays a more and more important role in interior design, especially in the luxury market.
It is therefore not surprising that Maison & Objet is dedicating an official exhibition and developing this close partnership with the designers in order to promote it to visitors from all over the world.
A large stand of approximately 100m2, strategically placed in hall 7 near the other official exhibition spaces of the fair, along the red carpet, reflects this global strategy, as well as the important PR campaign.
Our exhibition «Light Trend» aims to:
- present the latest news in lighting design;
- discover the know-how of world-famous lighting designers;
- suggest integration of light and fixtures in interior design;
- offer exclusive lighting experiences, created just for this occasion;
- share the experiences with opinion-leaders in the decoration field from all over the world.
This official exhibition on today’s lighting design consists of a subtle blend of technology and artistic expression. A double vision that comes from not only the universal technical contribution, but also conceptions from European and Japanese cultures —- the force of our two creators.
The latest trends and international high-end manufacturers of not only lighting fixtures but also materials, furniture, objects, etc. allied to light are presented in our stand.
